FRIT 7739 Practicum Blog
I am including screenshots from my Practicum Blog because I think it is a great example of Elements 6.2 Reflection and 6.3 Field Experiences. My blog is where I documented and reflected on my FRIT 7739 field experiences. My field experiences were positive. Besides the time spent at my own K-8 school, I also spent time at a fine arts magnet 6-12 school, a high school, and a K-8 school with a full time instructional technology specialist. I learned a lot completing my field experiences. One of the main things I learned is that my district has a very long way to go to better prepare our learners for 21st century learning and jobs of the future. I enjoyed my time spent at other schools observing the work of technology centers in the district. If I could go back and start over with my blog I would have used the Weebly blog app so that everything would be in one place. That is a lesson learned for next time.

FRIT 7237 Professional Learning Network
In FRIT 7237 we focused a lot on creating a Professional Learning Network. I use Twitter as a PLN, but I also created this symbaloo with a small currated list of professional learning resources. I especially like that some of the resources have RSS feeds and if I want to view the feed I can click on the icon and the feed will appear in the box in the middle. This is something I should take the time to add more resources. This is an example of continuous learning, Element 6.1.
FRIT 7233: Screencast
I included this screencast under Standard 6 because I feel like it reflects Element 6.1 Continuous Learning. This element states that the candidate shows continuous growth in knowledge and skills of current and emerging technologies and applies them to improve personal productivity and professional practice. Since learning how to create this first screencast I have had to create several more screencasts for projects and work. Each time I create a screencast I not only improve my skills but I am creating something that I can put out there for other teachers to view, saving me a lot of time.
